Description
Live Improv is Back!
The Push Comedy Theater is proud to celebrate improv and it’s performers with The World Series of Improv.
The World Series of Improv is a six day bracket-style tournament. Teams from all over the country will compete head to head. The winning teams will move onto the next round.
But this isn’t your typical Zoomprov. This isn’t improvisers sitting at their desk staring into their webcam. Improvisers will be in the same room together, interacting with each other… just like in the before times.
The Push Comedy Theater will be offering $1000 in prize money to the top 4 winning teams. The 1st Place team receives $500, 2nd Place gets $250 and 3rd and 4th get $125 each.
A panel of judges along with you, the audience will determine the winners.
The World Series of Improv
Round 1: April 22, 23, 24 at 8pm
Round 2: April 29, 30, and May 1 at 8pm
The World Series of Improv is absolutely free and can be viewed on the Push Comedy Theater Facebook page.

The World Series of Improv is a bracket-style tournament, where improv teams from across the country will compete for a cash prize.
Here’s how it works.
Two-person teams will perform a live improv set from their living room, bedroom, home theater… it doesn’t matter as long both performers are in the same room. That means the performers will have to be quarantined together or in the same socially distanced pod.
Teams can use their phone or webcam to capture their performance which will be broadcast via a livestream link we’ll provide.
Teams will receive a one-word suggestion moments before their set, and can perform any style of improv they choose.
Performances will be voted on by the audience and a team of judges, with the winning team moving on to the next round. While teams will be judged on their set, poor lighting and audio can hamper your performance. Make sure lighting and audio issues are taken into account when choosing a location to perform. Camera operators are allowed as long as they are in your quarantine or socially distanced pod.
While we can’t pay performers (aside from the cash prizes for the top 4 teams), we want you to have an opportunity to make money.
During your set, we will display a graphic with your Paypal or Venmo handle.
Audience members will be encouraged to donate directly to the groups and/or theaters.
As much as Zoomprov has helped survive this past year… we’re ready for some (safe) face-to-face improv.
