This session is specifically for early years professionals in leadership positions (supervisor, assistant supervisor, director) within their organizations.
In this workshop, early childhood leaders will learn various strategies to create a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive, fostering a comprehensive DEI approach in the organization. Leaders will be encouraged to reflect together on different examples of biases and their impacts in the ECEC workplace based on real-life experiences and scenarios.
Lobna Ajaini is an Early Childhood Leader and ECE college instructor with an Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership Degree and an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College. She is currently completing MPED, and a Master's Degree in Professional Education in ECE through Western University. Lobna is a multi-award-winning educator and leader who received the 2022 Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Research Award, the 2019 Sylvia Leal Leadership Award, and the 2016 Davis Campus Commemorative Award. Lobna is the founder of Childhood Empowerment, a platform dedicated to fostering growth and development for early childhood educators.
She currently works as a Family Support Facilitator at EarlyON Child/Family Centre and site Director. Lobna is passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), humanitarian and environmental community projects. Her love for creativity and innovation stems from her educational background in the engineering field. She values lifelong learning and facilitating workshops to empower educators, children, and families.
