Description
Join two very accomplished local artists - professional photographer Bill Rodgers and renowned landscape painter Leslie Cain - as they team up for our first photography event of the season.
Bill has been exploring and photographing the hills and creeks around Walla Walla for five years since moving to the Valley, and has discovered some photogenic gems. Leslie is well-known for her many exquisite paintings of the Blue Mountain country. She will offer invaluable advice on the art of seeing landscapes from an artist's perspective. We’ll visit the viewpoint from which the cover of “The Blues, Volume I” was shot. A nearby grove of very photogenic Black Locust trees provides wonderful photographic opportunities to capture the dramatic shapes of these magnificent trees. We’ll then visit a very scenic red barn that appears to be slated for demolition, provided it remains standing by class day. The final stop will be a one of Bill’s favorite groups of old farm buildings, which will provide hundreds of photographic compositions.
