Description
The Entrepreneurship Society is hosting a special Founders Only breakfast for entrepreneurs and founders in Montreal.
(If you're a founder and looking for an invite or chance to attend, feel free to request one from community@thetechsociety.org)
What is the The Entrepreneurship Society?
The Entrepreneurship Society (TES) focuses on quality, curated events for a variety of stakeholders in the tech ecosystem. Our invite-only guest lists are thoughtfully designed to ensure we create a synergistic environment to maximize networking and engaging conversation.
Each and every Founder Breakfast attendee is hand picked so that both you and the TES network of founders will benefit from your presence.
There are a few rules at our Founder Breakfasts: No small talk. Make it clear what your agenda is. Understand others' agenda. Do everything you can to help others in the room accomplish their business goals.
TES partners use our Founder Breakfasts and Founder Dinners as both a retention tool/value add with existing clients to develop new relationships with potential clients. Founders appreciate the more relaxed environment as opposed to the typical pitch environment where the clock is ticking.
Check out our blog post (here) from the Founders Dinner in November at Brassaii in downtown Toronto.

Topher Kingsley-Williams, Co-Founder and CEO, Porpoise
Topher Kingsley-Williams is the CEO and Co-founder of Porpoise. He was born and raised in the UK, and emigrated to Canada at age 11, although is neither British nor Canadian #identitycrisis (ask him about that). Topher got started in the technology industry in 2008 working for one of the largest open source software companies in the world, Red Hat, doing channel development. This opened his eyes to the software scene and how big companies were using corporate culture to attract, and engage the next generation of workers. Post Red Hat, Topher went on to work at a number of startups wearing multiple hats from channel development to sales. In 2014, while volunteering at a local community project, he met his two co-founders. Inspired by their collective community work, they launched Porpoise – An employee engagement platform for companies to enable their people to participate towards corporate culture and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Startup life is certainly one of the most exciting experiences in his life, but there have been some notable others including a 4 year Olympic campaign for the 2012 Olympics in Sailing, and the most rewarding experience, becoming a proud father to two “sleep destroying humans”.
