Description
The United Kingdom is currently the leader for CBD consumer product in Europe. Brands are significantly gaining consumer trust and companies are focused on unique product development. The Cannabis Society is hosting an event in partnership with HASHcreative and Memery Crystal that will cater to established CBD executives and investors in the space to focus on market expansion, later stage capital raising, methods for scalability, and listing on public exchanges.

Avital Bayer was born in London and moved to Israel in the summer of 2016.
She combines her passion for technology and innovation to inspire and promote change. She founded HiPitched in 2018 and sub division, HASHcreative in 2019, which focuses on compelling branding, strategy, design and scaling for the cannabis industry.
Before this she was Head of Business Development for Venture Capital fund 83North (Greylock) where she worked on scaling and advising portfolio companies.
Prior to moving to Israel she served as the international liaison at the Israeli Embassy in London's Trade and Economic Division, raising capital and securing international partnerships for Israeli companies.
Yarin Weltsman, Chief Design Officer, HiPitched
Originally from Johannesburg South Africa, Yarin Weltsman holds a Masters Degree in Design, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and is an award winning UX designer and innovator that focuses on a human-centric approach to translating ideas into tangible strategies and offerings.
Yarin has been involved in the Israeli cannabis eco-system since 2016, and has helped brand Israel as a world leader in cannabis innovation through her work at Israel Cannabis and CannaTech Israel, the global cannabis conference.
Dominic Day, Co-founder, fourfivecbd
Dominic has played professional rugby for 15 years and through the suffering many injuries found the benefits of CBD as an alternative to prescription drugs.
After seeing the benefits, Dominic and his team mate and England international George Kruis created fourfivecbd to offer the safest products available for athletes that are drug tested.
Nick Davis, Chief Executive, Memery Crystal
Nick Davis is the Chief Executive of Memery Crystal and a Senior Partner in the firm’s Corporate team.
Memery Crystal are the leading UK law firm on advising the emerging cannabis sector on business set-up, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private fundraising, licensing, IP and technology, and commercial contracts. Nick led the Memery Crystal team on the NEX listing of medicinal cannabis investment vehicle, Ananda Developments which were the second ever public listing of a cannabis vehicle. Nick firmly believes we are in a new era for the cannabis sector, with a strong pipeline of companies looking to list in London as legislation and attitudes change. He has a personal interest in medicinal cannabis as a Trustee of the charity ‘Olivia's Vision’, the UK's leading Uveitis charity raising awareness of the condition from which his daughter, Olivia, suffers. Uveitis like many auto immune diseases are being targeted for medicinal cannabis research. Nick has been widely quoted in both TV and print media in respect of the emergence of cannabis as an asset class, and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.
Nick specialises in corporate finance with expertise in flotations, equity capital markets and mergers & acquisitions. He advises on public company listings on both the Main Market and AIM and has extensive experience acting for other issuers, NOMAD/brokers and sponsors. Nick is the only lawyer who sits on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM advisory group.
Simon Tankel, President, Wundr Co.
Simon is the President of Wundr. His previous cannabis experience includes founding Golders Hill (merged into Wundr), Ark Wellness and an investment practice for a family office. Previously, he was Head of Business Development at Sum International, focusing on power plant development and latterly cannabis investing.
Toby Gordon-Smith, CEO, Grass & Co.
Toby is the CEO of Grass & Co, a CBD wellness brand. He is a seasoned entrepreneur and business builder with blue-chip background in consumer goods and top tier strategy consulting. Toby was Strategy Director at Glanbia where he developed and executed the international growth strategy for Glanbia’s world leading sports supplements division, growing a division from 3 people to over 300 people across 12 European markets. Toby has also worked with drinks giant Diageo and top tier strategy consulting firms Bain & Company and Mars & Company.
Joseph Oliver, Founder, LDN CBD
Joseph has managed and grown multiple companies, creating and directing global change programmes, which have been instrumental in securing hundreds of millions of dollars in technology investment. His expertise covers range of sectors including Innovation, Sustainability and Cannabis. Joseph is the Chairman for Faircann the Fair-Trade association for the Cannabis industry and he is the Founder of LDN CBD the UK’s first dedicated CBD boutique.
Sally Wynter, Founder, MUHU
Sally Wynter is the founder of start-up spirits brand, MUHU, which launched the UK's first CBD infused gin in October 2019 for only £1300. The brand, aimed at younger drinkers, is inspired by voyages to Asia and combines unique flavours with exciting infusions. A recent graduate, Wynter made use of her freelance career in journalism to get significant traction in the press with MUHU, which has been featured in all of the major drinks publications as well as The Sunday Times Stylist. She regularly uses CBD as a hangover cure.
JD Furlong, Co-Founder, Nooro
JD Furlong is an experienced food industry professional, having started several innovate food business, most recently in healthy vegan snacking concentrating on a D2B model. More recently he applied his food and branding background to creating Nooro, a UK based CBD CPG business whose first product is an oat snack bar in 6 great flavours which delivers on the promise of Think Better.
Johan Obel, Co-founder & CEO, TheDrug.Store
Johan entered the medicinal cannabis space through a Joint Venture with a major Canadian cannabis company. He worked with governments in various European countries and was part of setting up a growing facility in Denmark. After seeing the potential and misinformation in the CBD space he, along with Clemens, started TheDrug.Store to become the #1 destination for CBD in Europe.
Rebekah Hall, CEO & Founder, Botanic Lab
Since 2015, Rebekah’s strategic vision and business acumen have been the driving force behind
Botanic Lab, rewriting the rulebook on stereotypical ‘health drinks’ and catapulting the business to
success in a very competitive landscape. Botanic Lab has become synonymous with high quality

Rebekah followed her studies in economics with a successful 10-year career as a city corporate

traits required in a successful entrepreneur is an abundance of resilience, preferably accompanied by a
sense of humour. Rebekah is a regular speaker at female focused and entrepreneurship events,
providing an honest and refreshing insight into the process of launching and building a brand. Like her
drinks, what you see is what you get. She is a pioneer in the burgeoning CBD industry in Europe, driving
the growth of an industry that is complex, but full of innovation and potential.
As a somewhat unexpected counter to this, Rebekah is also an experienced yoga teacher, having
practiced traditional ashtanga yoga for many years. She knows the health and wellbeing sector inside
out, both as a consumer and also a business owner, and it is this knowledge driving her leadership in
the CBD industry.
Patrick Morton, CEO, Supreme Heights Limited
Patrick Morton is the CEO of Supreme Heights Limited, the UK venture capital arm of the Supreme Cannabis Company (TSX:FIRE), Canada-based vertically integrated cannabis company. Supreme Heights is focused on investing in and supporting the growth of high quality UK and European CBD brands. Patrick is also the co-founder of Cannabis Invest UK, a leading conference series for professional investors in the UK cannabis industry since 2017. Prior to joining the cannabis industry Patrick spent 14 years as an equity research analyst for global investment banking firms. Patrick holds a BComm from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Olivia Ferdi, Co-Founder, TRIP
Olivia trained as a solicitor in the City, and began using CBD to help with anxiety. Her husband Daniel had recommended CBD after finding immense benefits with recovery from knee surgery in 2018. Olivia wanted a CBD product she could use whenever the need arose, to be included in her active every day routine, with fun yet elevated branding that wouldn’t look out of place on her work desk.

Jasmin Thomas, Founder, OhanaCBD
Jasmin Thomas is the founder of Ohana CBD, a vegan, functional and CBD-infused skincare company. Ohana products are 100% natural and contain unique formulations that combine powerful plant properties that serve the skin, from seed to self. Jasmin was diagnosed with MS in 2015. She started using cannabis to alleviate various frustrating symptoms of her condition. Her medical journey led to her professional one, which now allows her to pursue her passions. In 2018, Jasmin co-founded entOURage Network, a women's empowerment organisation that cultivates a platform for people to engage and explore Europe's legal cannabis market.
Nathaniel Fintz, Associate, Zuber Lawler
Nathaniel Fintz focuses on intellectual property litigation. Nathaniel also manages intellectual property transactions and due diligence. He counsels clients in relation to IPR and TTAB proceedings.
He possesses particular experience relating to the pharmaceutical, software, banking and apparel industries.
Prior to joining Zuber Lawler & Del Duca, Nathaniel practiced intellectual property litigation and prosecution at Hughes Hubbard.
Nathaniel is a third-generation New York attorney.
