The BIG Social Care Recruitment Event - Wednesday 15th November 12pm - 6pm
If you like working with people and want to make a difference in your community then The BIG Social Care Recruitment Event is a brilliant opportunity to explore jobs and careers in Adults and Children's Social Care. It is a chance to come and speak directly to employers who are looking to fill vacancies across the city and access support in applying for jobs.
We are looking for people who may or may not have qualifications or professional experience, but do have the right values, natural abilities and a caring nature. Training will always be offered.
As a care and support worker you will work directly with people who have different care and support needs, this could be, long term health conditions; learning disabilities; or recovering from a stay in hospital. You will help with their daily support needs which may include personal care. Other task may include, preparing meals, drinks and supporting individuals with their social needs. Listening and paying attention to what is important to an individual helps them to feel empowered and involved in their life.
Within children and families we have roles available in Early Years, working in nurseries with children, building relationships and supporting them to learn and grow in confidence. Opportunities are also available within the children’s residential care service, this would include supporting children and young people and creating a safe, caring, living environment, as well as building positive and trusting relationships. We would also be happy to discuss the opportunities for career development within Social Work. Once qualified, this would enable you to join one of the specialist teams working across the city.
