The Sun created the men from corn. First, he made the shape of a man and blew out on it three times to give it life. Then, he created the woman blowing on her four times because she'd need more strength to give birth. At the same time the Lord of Darkness, angry and jealous of the Rarámuri's birth, created a figure out of ashes. With only one blow, it turned into the white man or Chabochi. That's how the Rarámuri and the Chabochi were born. That's how the Rarámuris tell it.

Submerged in a bathtub, Lilia lets her body lie there, while an imposing black woman is in charge of rinsing her, rubbing her... accompany her and contemplate her.
Arms, legs, skin, bones. This is the inventory of a body that consumes itself. A body that inhabits another world and another time.

They say many years ago, there were only the sea, the sky and the marine animals. One day, the animals gathered and decided to go to the bottom of the ocean to grab some sand and create the Earth. Many tried, but the ocean was too deep. Then came the turn for the Caguama, the biggest turtle that ever existed. After a long journey, it got to the bottom and grabbed all the sand it possibly could. On its way back most of this sand was gone, except the one inside its nails. That sand was more than enough to create the Earth. That's how our Earth was created. That's how the Seris tell it.
