What's FABRIC? It’s a planned brick-and-mortar facility that will give independent fashion designers and other industry professionals a share in resources they need to succeed as small business owners—right here in Columbus.
Why is it needed? Columbus has a high concentration of fashion designers (3rd in the nation behind NYC and LA!)—but there is a lack of resources that can help these independent brands flourish. We are one of the nation’s leaders in big retail brands, and there's no reason we shouldn't also be a leader in innovative, independent labels. By providing shared resources and opportunities for independent brands, we can create a welcoming home for a community of creative talent and develop an authentic, homegrown industry of local, unique fashion brands as well.
