Description
Reel Scarborough Documentary Series Event is an evening with Prof. Alice Maurice's Documentary Film Class to explore the films produced as part of the Documentary Group Project. We have invited Betty Xie, Shasha Nakhai and Mark Rigby, leading documentary filmmakers and industry professionals, to sit on a panel to adjudicate the films and provide feedback to the student filmmakers fostering an opportunity to explore filmmaking as a career. Students will have the opportunity to ask the filmmakers questions, gather feedback about their film and receive guidance on technical and story development.
Pizza, light snacks and water / soft drinks will be served.

Golden Gloves(By Matthew Narea, Jisoo Yoon, and Chloe Troicuk)A documentary that follows a young female boxer who is training for the provincial “Golden Gloves” boxing competition.
Blunt Opinions: A Smoke-free Campus(By Laurentiu Medlicott, Nicole Taylor, Polilan Thirumavalavan, and Michael Diaz)A documentary looking at the legalization of cannabis from the perspective of the UTSC campus.
Resourceful(By Briana Bayliss-Clarke, Ayesha Khan, Sumayaah Khawaja, and Zeynep Ozkan)A documentary focusing on the issue of UTSC's campus safety and resources.
This program is being offered through the University of Toronto Scarborough's Department of English, Minor in Literature and Film Studies program.
