1102 S 21st St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904, USA
This series happens on Wednesday Evenings 5p-7p MST from May 19 thru July 7
Recovery Storytelling, with Meghann Perry, combines the art form of personal narrative storytelling with the goals of recovery messaging and advocacy to create compelling, powerful stories with deep impact and broad appeal. The workshop process uses recovery coaching techniques and the performing arts to create an experience which brings participants healing, hope, empowerment, and a deeper connection to a wider community as they bring their stories to life in a whole new way.
Recovery Storytelling allows participants to celebrate resilience and successes along their recovery path, and to step outside of the labels and into being fully human - not just the single story of their journey with substance use disorder. It fully embraces loved ones and allies, and is creative, energetic, collaborative, and fun!
Participants who complete our workshop series leave with a finished, five-minute story suitable for a wide range of audiences and purposes as well as the skills to create more stories from their life journey.
