Presenter: Thea Rossen, percussionist, creator and educator based in Melbourne, member of MVIS ensemble, Water Water EverywhereThursday 23 May 4:15 – 6:15pmThe Channel at Arts Centre Melbourne
Through movement and dance, students develop awareness of the ways
their bodies move, the space in which they work, the time and quality of their
movements and their relationship to each other and to the music. Explore the
many creative possibilities inherent in the marriage of music and movement in
this fun and interactive workshop. Come prepared to clap, stomp, sing, dance,
move and shake your way through this playful session! Come dressed in
comfortable clothes to move in.
Refreshments provided. You are invited to join us 15 mins prior to the advertised start time for registrations and afternoon tea.
The workshop will run for two hours from the advertised start time.
Australian Professional Standards for Teachers addressed in the two PD Events at Proficient level:
3.3.2 Select and use relevant teaching strategies to develop knowledge, skills, problem solving and critical and creative thinking.
