This LGBTQ+ inclusion session supports LIVE’s members to build more inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ communities in the context of their work.
In this initial session, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and build peer to peer networks with others that are keen to support LGBTQ+ communities. We’ll hear more about LGBTQ+ experiences across the music and creative sectors, and learn more about language and terminology. We’ll spend time in group discussion, working together to develop ways to support LGBTQ+ communities in the live music sector.
Aims and objectives:
● Build your understanding of LGBTQ+ identities, language and terminology
● Learn about common experiences for LGBTQ+ people across the music industry and socially
● Develop actions to create change in your context
● Network and build peer-to-peer learning networks
Come Play With Me is a non-profit music development organisation that specialises in supporting people from marginalised communities to further their careers in music.
Their mission is to fight for an equitable, inclusive and diverse music industry. They provide tailored career development for individuals through our events, label, mentoring, podcast & magazine and workshops.
