A poor relationship with our mind is at the heart of many of our physical and mental health problems. Overthinking and identifying with our thinking causes anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, disconnection, tension and feelings of overwhelm; to name just a few.
In contrast, meditation is the practice of developing a single point focus. Through a regular meditation practice excessive thinking naturally lessens, bodies relax and life flows with greater ease.
This Introduction to Meditation course will give you all the tools you need to develop a fun and easy daily meditation practice.
In this online course suitable for complete beginners and experienced meditators alike, you will learn:
How to discover your true self
What lies at the heart of a successful practice
Why the mind gets busy and how to calm it
10 ways to experience more peace, joy, love and connection
The common meditation happenings and why they are ok
How to meditate with eyes open and eyes shut
Why we're often looking for our happiness in the wrong place and where to find it
Games to play throughout the day to increase your wellbeing
These sessions are fun and sociable, giving you the opportunity to ask questions as you go along and developing your skills over the 6 weeks. Follow up support is available through access to the replays, a supporting book and CD, ongoing Calm Classes and the opportunity to repeat future courses again for free.
This course is based on the Mind Calm meditation technique by Sandy C. Newbigging.

Dates are: Mondays 8.15pm-9.15pm - 4th Jan, 11th Jan, 18th Jan, 25th Jan, 1st Feb and 8th Feb. Summary emails are sent after each class.
