Through FarmHer she is updating the image of agriculture by celebrating the female side of farming on her weekly television show, FarmHer and creating community amongst women in agriculture through a series of events built just for them. Her work for FarmHer has been featured in an expanse of arenas ranging from an Emmy-winning documentary, an award-winning weekly television show on RFD-TV to USDA’s National Ag Day Celebration and Successful Farming magazine.
Joey learned valuable money lessons early in life as she watched her mother struggle to keep a roof over her family’s head. She then worked her way through college to earn a degree from the University of Minnesota. In her career Joey has worked with a wide range of financial products from insurance to angel investing. She decided to combine both her personal stories and professional knowledge to help women understand the impacts of daily financial decisions. The result is A Girl’s Guide to Personal Finance.
