‘FUTURE tense!’ Artistic Director
Sasha Wentges is offering audiences an entertaining peek into the future: “With
the onset of climate change, wars, and rapidly evolving technologies, our two
shows feature a stellar line up of artists exploring with comedic stylings what
our future may portend for us: Will it be dystopian or an utopia?” Wentges
agrees with Marshall McLuhan when he states, “I think of
art, at its most significant, as a DEW line, a Distant
Early Warning system that can always be relied on to tell the old culture what
is beginning to happen to it.”
She invites people to have some fun with
their questions, hopes and fears about the future by sending them to The
Harbingers via text to
647-599-0194.
The Harbingers (co-hosts Laurie Murphy and Sasha Wentges) and improv troupe Lisa Merchant & Friends (Jan
Caruana
and Marty Adams) are
joined by a lineup of artists on each night of comedy. On November 19, they
will be joined by stand-up star
