EBRU PAPER MARBLING
Marbling is the art of floating and designing watercolors on a base fluid then permanently transferring the design to paper. It was developed by the Persians in the 15th-century. The Turks mastered the Art of Marbling centuries ago. Many of their techniques, patterns, and terms are used in Marbling. In this class, you will be taught Turkish Marbling, or Ebru, the Art of Cloud Painting. Participants will take home their finished papers. Marbling students who take the bookbinding courses may use their papers for book covers. No prerequisite is required.
Cost per Person: $80/Adult (Ages 14 and above) Anyone age 14 -17 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
Class size is limited to 4 people.
Length of Class: Typical class lasts about 5 hrs
Workshops Health Safety Precautions
Effective 3/3/2022, face masks are optional, not required.
Workshops are limited to 6 persons maximum to allow for social distancing.
All participants must abide by social distancing procedures.
For the safety of our visitors and staff, any participant with visible signs of sickness (cough, etc.) will not be allowed to join the tour and will be given a refund. Please stay home if you are sick.
