Description
Join Data Science Festival London, in partnership with Facebook. Lightning talks covering using AI for decision making, to topic modeling and building products with data. Following our talks will be a panel with all our speakers where you can ask questions and learn more about each topic covered.
Those randomly selected and approved will then be e-mailed tickets for the event. If you do not receive an approval e-mail from us by the 19th of November 2018 you have been unsuccessful in getting a ticket for this event.

Ankur Modi: measuring wellbeing and engagement of employees using non survey data.
Bio: Ankur Modi is the CEO and co-founder of StatusToday, which is considered one the UK’s hottest Artificial Intelligence start-ups by Business Insider, TechWorld and VentureRadar. He is an expert in big data with a unique specialisation in Psychology from Oxford University, and has recently been recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30 as one of Europe’s most promising tech entrepreneurs. Prior to StatusToday, Ankur was Project Manager and Software Engineer at Microsoft, leading international efforts behind MS Office, Office 365 and Dynamics for projects now used by over 100 million people worldwide. At StatusToday, Ankur and his team have created a unique Intelligence Platform that helps companies understand human behaviour to ensure Security, Engagement and Productivity.
Adam Hornsby: Building a topic model using retail data.
Bio: Adam is a Senior Data Scientist at Dunnhumby, where he builds and deploys machine learning algorithms at scale. He is also a part-time Experimental Psychology PhD student at UCL, funded by Dunnhumby. His research aims to better understand consumer purchase behaviour through a combination of data science, machine learning and cognitive modelling.
Sandi Conroy: Data Science, Product & Integrity
Bio: Sandi Conroy is a Data Science Manager for the Community Integrity team in London and has been at Facebook for four years. She is passionate about working on the Community Integrity team, which is trying to build a safe and inclusive community for Facebook users.
Shachar Meir: Building products with data.
Bio: Shachar Meir leads the Ads Data Engineering team at Facebook London, helping make advertising work for everyone. Prior to Facebook, Shachar had spent over a decade making organisations data-driven, with companies such as PayPal, WorldRemit, Pontis, and more, building global teams all across the spectrum, from Data Engineering to Analytics. Shachar is extremely passionate about turning data to insights that drives businesses, and is enthusiastic about the psychology of data and shaping team cultures around data.
