Community of Practice: Be Well
London, ON, Canada
Facilitated By: Courtney Ward-Zbeetnoff, MFA in Creative Writing, University of Victoria
Join this Community of Practice where we explore and reflect on all areas of self-care and personal wellness, from the emotional, to the psychological, to the social, physical, and professional too.
This month, we are very excited to welcome Courtney Ward-Zbeetnoff who will introduce us to new ways to support our mental health, while nurturing your creative sides!. Courtney is an enthusiastic and accomplished writer and advocate with a special interest in creative nonfiction. She specializes in writing about mental health and mental illness, as well as teaching this art to others.
Courtney will show us how to use writing to cultivate mental wellness. We will be led through a series of writing exercises that we can use in times of stress, for self-reflection, or as a creative outlet.
All it takes to be a writer is the act of writing, so in this workshop, everyone is a writer!
Self-care is a personal journey and one that is ever changing. We want this to be a space where we can continue to grow in health and well-being together, making our self-care a habitual priority and not an after-thought.
