This session will be held as a livestreamed webinar. You will be sent a link shortly before the session starts.
Getting music rights data right can be the difference between getting paid and not getting paid. This webinar explains how labels can make sure all the right data is in the system. It then looks at the so called neighbouring right revenue streams, how they are administered by the record industry's collective licensing system, and why getting the data right is particularly important in this domain.
Topics covered include: the key music copyright data standards; the key music copyright databases; the different neighbouring right revenues; the collective licensing system; and where performer equitable remuneration fits in.
This session is run by CMU's Chris Cooke.
