As you may know, a 'UK Voluntary Code of Good Practice on Transparency in Music Streaming’ was agreed and signed by all relevant trade organisations including BPI and AIM earlier this year.
The Code is part of a series of initiatives born out of government led working groups set up in response to the Culture Media Sport Select Committee's 2021 report on the economics of music streaming.
Labels, distributors, publishers and DSPs have until 31st July 2024 to ensure they are compliant with the Code.
While many companies may find that they comply with at least some of the Code to some degree, enshrining this good practice in a Code of Conduct is a significant step to ensuring good communication and reporting across the whole sector.
Please join us for a webinar on May 22nd 2.30pm-4pm to hear more about labels’ commitments to good practice under the Code and some ideas on how to ensure you are fully compliant.
We look forward to discussing further with you at the webinar.
Please note this event is for BPI members only.
