The 2024 Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series at Croke Park continues when Tipperary legend Nicky English joins staff of the GAA Museum on a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Croke Park, in the build up to the 2024 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final.
GAA Museum Hall of Fame Inductee, Nicky English, is a member of an elite group that have won All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships as both a player and a manager. In 1989 he played a pivotal role in helping to bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to the Premier County for the first time in over a decade. This was followed up in 1991 with another All-Ireland title. During his decorated fourteen year senior inter-county career with Tipperary, the Lattin-Cullen Clubman collected six All-Star Awards and his heroics in the 1989 championship campaign led to him being selected as Hurler of the Year. Between 1998 and 2002, Nicky managed the Tipperary Senior Hurlers, guiding them to All-Ireland success in 2001, in addition to a Munster Senior Championship title and two National Hurling Leagues.
This tour is part of the Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series. These special tours, first introduced in 2008, provide fans with an unforgettable opportunity to hear memories and anecdotes at first hand from their GAA heroes.
