Description
Artificial intelligence is being used to make decisions about lives, livelihoods, and interactions in the real world in ways that affect us all. From finance to transportation, from education to national security, the future is here – but who’s in charge? Join the World Affairs Council on May 3 at 12pm PDT for a discussion on the role of governments, private industries, and international organizations in creating a framework for ethical, responsible, and transparent AI governance. We’ll be joined by Jonathan Barr, Senior Research Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and Hiwot Tesfaye, Technical Advisor for Microsoft. This virtual conversation will be off-the-record and will not be recorded.
Instructions on how to join this virtual meeting will be sent the day before the program. If by the morning of the event you have not recieved the link, please check your spam folder for messages from "hello@universe.com"
