Zara Farrar - Creative Producer & Head of Women's Group at GDS
Improving diversity in a digital civil service
The Government Digital Service sits at the centre of government and isn't a typical department. In this talk I'll discuss some of the difficulties we've faced as a digital organisation in government and my ways of improving diversity in the workplace.
Sasjkia Otto - Founder of Carpool Vote
Fighting back against an unfair political system
CarpoolVote.com connects volunteer drivers with those who need a lift to vote. In many states, new voting rules have made it more difficult for people to get to polling stations. These rules particularly affect People of Color, People with Disabilities, Young People, Elderly People, and Women. So we offer a tool to fight back against an unfair political system in the 2016 election.
