Description
Title "I married a Mangia Cake"
Angela Maiorano-Thurston has an Italian family, and she is a Stand-up Comic.
"I married a Mangia-Cake!" and friends, is a night of Stand up Comedy, celabrating being Italian. For Angela her Italian origins come from Puglia Italy, her Mom comes from Bari Italy and her Dad comes from Modugno, a really, really, really small town in southern Italy. Everybody knows everybody, its that small. Angela grew up speaking the "Barese" dialect, and some of the show will highlight the "Barese" dialect. It sounds very much like Chinese, to the untrained ear, and the average "white person". Trust me its Italian and its messy, sloppy and colourful in all its glory
! Please forgive me if you are Chinese and you are reading this. And I am sorry if you married an Italian, yes that makes you a "A MANGIA CAKE!"
The stories and characters that Angela will bring to life will take you back to when eating all your dinner was mandatory, or else!
Oh and Angela never married a good Italian boy, she married a "Mangia-Cake", a "white man" yes a Ginger!
Audiences that are Italian and the ones that were forced to marry into one, will relate to a night of "Mangia-Cake" and friends.
