He, who rarely gave interviews, accepted a research interview from our presenter, Dr. Anita Small, then a visiting professor at Hogeschool Utrecht University, in the Netherlands from 2014-2015. She will present his life and poetry as a prime example of the pioneers and international influence of sign language literature. She will also highlight the features of his poetic style, sharing some surprising revelations along the way! Furthermore, there will be a sharing of original documents, personal interviews with Wim (and with other Deaf Dutch literary figures), photographs of his metamorphosis as a Deaf poet as well as much footage and analysis of his poetry.
