Description
Let us walk around the Scarborough Arts building and its surrounding properties paying attention to things that lay beyond the first layer of perception: discover moments in time, details of things, and places in nature that spark our creativity. Follow its lead and respond creatively—write a story or a poem, sketch or draw a picture, hum a tune, dance in creative response, or listen and observe.
About the FacilitatorPavla Uppal, M.A., B.Ed. is an applied theatre practitioner who offers creative theatre-based methodology to groups and individuals in diverse settings—community building, professional development, and education. She created community-based art projects in the USA, Czech Republic, and Malaysia. In Toronto, she facilitates educational art projects and Theatre of the Oppressed workshops. Pavla is passionate about human stories and encourages and nurtures the human agency for active art-making as an exploration of what it means to be a human being, and as an expression of civic engagement and an antidote to consumerism.
