Red Dress Party Returns to San Diego!
What is Red Dress Party San Diego?
A celebration to raise awareness and funds for organizations that serve the local HIV/AIDS community; but not your typical fundraising gala, this event is so much more.
What Makes Red Dress Party San Diego Different?
Red Dress Party San Diego is a night of music and dancing mixed with charity and fun, where all attendees – and we mean everyone – is required to wear a red dress, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. This serves both as a powerful sign of solidarity and compassion for those affected by HIV/AIDS and a way to unite the crowd in one radiant theme. At this unique celebration we invite everyone to be brave, let loose, and celebrate impact.
New Venue, New Theme, New Goal
This year we are taking over the San Diego Natural History Museum. This historic, gorgeous venue allows for 700 attendees to paint the town red and offers two main floors for dancing, drinking and entertainment plus the open-air rooftop available exclusively to our VIP guests.
This year's theme is "Red & Wild". Get ready to flaunt your reddest, wildest costume yet. Be it flora, fauna, feathers, or fronds, we encourage all our guests to let loose, dress wild, and celebrate impact. Although dressing to the theme isn’t necessary – it’s merely a suggestion – wearing a red dress (or dress like attire) is required.
This year we hope to raise $20,000. Last year we were able to make an $8,000 donation to our event beneficiary, the San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative; we hope to more than double last year’s donation to benefit the local HIV/AIDS community. We learned a lot from last year’s event and know we can do it even bigger and better this year.
