Description
Keep Saint Petersburg Local presents its new series, #MeetStPete, featuring panels & workshops led by some of our city’s favorite local business owners + socials. The series provides unique opportunities to meet, learn from and really connect with existing & aspiring local business owners; as well as other dreamers, doers, shakers and makers.
Each month will highlight a particular theme/industry. Whereas all events are open to everyone in our community, those who are already part of/want to be part of that month’s highlighted industry are especially encouraged to attend.
OCTOBER - CREATIVES & MAKERS
St. Pete's maker culture has exploded these past couple of years! Many in our community are now not only making their own artisanal food/beverages/goods, they are also making (or, at least trying to make!) a living from their creations. This workshop will be beneficial for existing and new makers.
You'll hear and learn from one of St. Pete's most successful makers, who will also share ideas of where else you can sell your wares. Plus, you'll get tips from the founder/co-founder of two of our region's most popular markets, and the owner of one of our area's most visited locally-handcrafted goods shop, on what they're looking for when selecting which makers to feature as a vendor or in their store.
You'll come away from the workshop with very valuable knowledge so you get better at "Getting Your Goods Out."
WORKSHOP PANELISTS:
Amy Marshall, Owner | Strands of Sunshine
Jamie O'Berry, Owner | O'Berry's Succulents - O'Berry's Succulents was 1 of 400 makers carefully selected from *around the world* for the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago for the 2nd year in a row (this year's flagship hometown Fair was their largest to date)! O'Berry's was also selected by Squarespace as one of the vendors they featured in the Fair's "Squarespace Row."
