The Living Energy Project will create the world’s first carbon
neutral oil museum – The Green & The Black – and an orchestra of
world-class displays and Albertan-made innovations.
This is an open house tour between 11am-4pm, but the tour itself
lasts just under two hours. On September 10th come and explore the Leduc
historical rig platform – from where you can see the past, present and
future of energy:
The past (Leduc #1 discovery oil well) – celebrating its 70th anniversary
The present (horse head pumps in the distance and solar tracker in foreground)
The future (the well that will be Canada’s first abandoned oil well converted to geo exchange system)
Alberta has a variety of green energy sources and this museum is a great way to learn about all of them.
