Tom Metz
Founder of T.V. Metz & Co., LLC and Author of Perfect Your Exit Strategy
Tom Metz founded the boutique investment bank T.V. Metz & Co., LLC in 1983 and has been an investment banker for more than 30 years. His primary focus is arranging the sale of companies with strategic value—typically in the technology and software industries. He has closed transactions across North America as well as in Europe and Asia. Earlier in his career, he worked for the DeLorean Motor Company and in computer sales with IBM. Mr. Metz has a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Oregon and an MBA degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He is the author of two books: "Perfect Your Exit Strategy—7 Steps to Maximum Value" (Bettencourt Publishing 2016) and "Selling the Intangible Company—How to Negotiate and Capture the Value of a Growth Firm," (John Wiley & Sons 2009). Tom is an avid golfer and heli-skier. In his younger years he was a nationally ranked squash player. He is also pilots his airplane, a Cessna 182, to family and golf destinations.
