Back by popular demand with a completely new line-up and a new location. For Yum Cha 2 East-Meets-West and this time we've gathered some of the best chefs west of Yonge Street and are bringing them east of the Don to do their take on dim sum classics.Yum Cha (飲茶), literally translated as “drink tea”, is another alias of the mid-morning Cantonese tradition better known as dim sum! Though Cantonese in origin, a wealth of outside influence can also be seen in the wide variety of dishes on offer. #yumchaTO will not be your average dim sum experience. The event will feature 10 vendors who will bring traditional elements of dim sum (fried and steamed dumplings, buns, and other assorted sweet and savory small plates) to new heights with inspired and inventive global influences. These are chefs and cooks that are addicted to the dim sum experience.Event Details:**Please note that this is a 19+ only event (no kids/infants/strollers/pets).Sunday, May 4, 2014Where: 36 Wagstaff Drive (Near Greenwood & Gerrard)First Session: 11am to 2pmSecond Session: 2pm to 5pmGeneral Admission Tickets: $10 (does not include food or drink)Please note when purchasing tickets: Each session ticket is only valid for the duration specified. An enjoyable ratio of guests to vendors. We have broken up the event into two sessions to create a comfortable experience.
