The Youth Food Leadership training will be a ‘mini’ version of the National Student Food Summit- a second opportunity in this school year to connect with the amazing students involved in Meal Exchange’s network across the country. Mini Summit will take place at the Meal Exchange National offices in Toronto, Ontario from March 9-10th, and have a focus on building skills and making impact!
Students will participate in hands-on workshops to deepen skills in working towards more equitable, sustainable and healthy food systems in their campuses and communities. Students can expect workshops on equity and inclusion, campaigning, the Good Food Challenge, and student food insecurity research and action. There will also be opportunities to explore innovative Toronto food projects and socialize with the awesome folks of the student food movement-stay tuned for the full program! **Funding Available: Once registered, delegates will have access to Meal Exchange’s student travel bursary, with the opportunity to receive full funding for travel costs, as well as accommodation costs for vulnerable students.
