Writing to Create an Intentional Reflective Practice

Facilitated by Sheryl Third, RECE; MA This series will allow the participant to help uncover their authentic voice and discover writing as a joyful activity. The practice of writing will also assist the participants to discover their own power of observation and reflection as tool for personal and professional growth. Participants will take part in a live webinar and then have access to weekly activities to complete over the month. A 2nd webinar will then occur to identify and set intentional practices to continue in their work as reflective early years professionals. “Reflective practice is a continuous process and involves the learner considering critical incidents in his or her life's experiences. The knowledge base of Reflective Practice has continued to grow and expand, “It holds promise for educator development and school renewal that can have benefits for children’s” (Barr, Sommers, Gheren & Montie 2006, pg. 4). This hybrid delivery model will feature a combination of self-directed modules and live online sessions.
