Emotional Intelligence: Exploring FEEEELINGS… and Emotions
In this foundational workshop we will explore emotional intelligence by expanding your emotional vocabulary and your understanding of identifying and expressing your emotions. We will then apply what you learn to the stage through improvisation games and character work. This workshop aims to help you gain greater awareness of your emotions and learn new ways to express them both onstage and in your life.
Participants will be required to fill out a well-being questionnaire prior to class registration.

In collaboration with Push Comedy Theater’s Community & Well-Being Program and Watermark Psychological Services, the IMPROV-ing Emotional Wellness Program aspires to support our community in their individual journeys with increased comedy skills, emotionally healthy communication skills, and overall personal growth. This program is for individuals seeking to increase emotional and self awareness, nurture effective communication skills, and develop deeper connection with others. Participants experience these growth points through the dynamic adventure that the intersection between improvisational comedy and mental healthcare can safely provide. Classes will be facilitated by both an improvisation teacher and a mental health professional.
