Equinox and Solstice celebrations at CoSM honor polarities and the alignment of the earth with the sun, crests and troughs in the wave of time -- the longest and shortest days and nights of the year and the two days of balance and equivalence. When we notice the passing of the days, the months, the years, we contemplate impermanence, raising our awareness to the preciousness of life in the here and now.
At CoSM, Celestial Celebrations begin with spoken wisdom on a worthy topic. After the talk and discussion, the audience breaks. Then, look forward to some of the best electronic music, down tempo music, ecstatic dance, a fire circle, and fire spinning. Alex and Allyson live paint along with a showcase of visionary artists. Acrobats, belly dancers, laser light shows, taro readers, palmists, face painters, group sand mandalas have all been part of the rich tapestry, the transformative tableau of uplifting offerings at CoSM Celestial Celebrations.

Philly-based producer and keyboardist 5AM aka Sam Andrus is no stranger to fusion. Whether it be jazz fusion, the fusion of genres in general, or the fusion of electronic sounds with live instrumentation. To expand on this vision, the 5AM Trio employs the dextrous drumming of Aaron Harel (ZONE Drums) and the guitar wizardry of Keith Wadsworth (Wax Future). The Trio have soared to new heights recently, having shared the stage with acts as diverse as Papadosio, Lab Group, Break Science, Clozee, Lotus, and Tiedye Ky, and have built strong roots throughout the festival scene, playing festivals like Elements, Summerdance, Sonic Bloom and Secret Dreams and countless more.

Mindex
Mindex is an all original electronic composer whose signature bass production combines elements of jazz, hip-hop, classical and middle eastern music with futuristic sound design. His polished engineering prowess allows him to draw every shape, color and movement of the sonic experience, which overflows with melodic patterns, textured layers, and detailed automations of modern synthesizers and effects. His painstaking and careful articulations mold a four dimensional topography for the mind to digest. In the last few years, that recognizable Mindex sound has proven to shake dance floors with heavy basses and memorable melodies.

New Thousand
New Thousand opens the door to an ecstatic sound journey. Fusing virtuosic electric violin with high-octane percussion and electronic production, they create a cross-cultural dance experience like no other. As street performers, they learned to materialize crowds of hundreds out of thin air to dance in the streets of New Orleans and New York. They now travel the world, sharing their electrifying dance parties from sunrise sets at Burning Man to villa parties in Ibiza.
