Orofacial myofunctional therapy is the bridge between structure and function and it can be the missing link that helps bring patients successfully through therapy. This 2-day workshop is an advanced survey course, in orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) for the experienced medical professional whose scope of practice intersects in the orofacial complex. Differential diagnosis and feeding, swallowing, and communication techniques will be featured throughout the workshop that can be incorporated into therapy immediately. Attend the workshop and apply the most recent knowledge in the fields of speech pathology, dentistry, neurology, otolaryngology, and sleep medicine as it applies to OMDs. Learn how breathing and oral resting postures impact feeding and articulation therapy. Learn how to plan therapy around structural development.Linda D'Onofrio is a certified speech-language pathologist specializing in oromyofunctional disorders, craniofacial disorders, structural and sensory-motor based speech disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, voice and resonance disorders, social cognitive disorders, and developmental speech-language disorders.
