THE PHIL LYNOTT CONVENTION COMES TO DUBLIN
Last August 20th The Phil Lynott Convention saw the unveiling of a monument to commemorate the birthplace of Phil Lynottin West Bromwich. The inaugural convention in 2019 saw a plaque unveiling at Hallam Hospital where Phil was born to further enhance the legacy of Ireland's most noted rock star.
This August 20th The Phil Lynott Convention comes to Dublin for the first time where Phil was brought up and became a very special townin his life. He rightly spoke lovingly of Dublin and Ireland as his home.
So, it’s a special moment for The Phil Lynott Convention to be coming to Dublin this August 20th to celebrate his birthday and his music.
It is even more special when we have Brian Downey’s ‘Alive and Dangerous’ to take the stageand headline this occasion.
Poetry readings at the statue in Harry St. and film and documentary screenings during the day along with the music in the evening should make this a memorable occasion.
