Beanie Feldstein is an acclaimed actress and vocalist known for her breakout roles in Greta Gerwig’s Academy Award-nominated film “Lady Bird” and Olivia Wilde’s critically praised “Booksmart.” Onstage, she made her Broadway début in the 2017 production of “Hello Dolly!” and will star as Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl,” in spring, 2022. She can currently be seen as Monica Lewinsky in FX’s “Impeachment: American Crime Story” and will soon lend her voice to the title character of Apple TV+’s animated series “Harriet the Spy.”
Jayne Houdyshell began her acting career performing in a wide range of plays in regional theatres across the country. In 2016, she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play, for her work in “The Humans.” Other honors for her stage performances include two Drama Desk Awards and two Obies. She will be back on Broadway this winter, starring in “The Music Man” alongside Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster. Houdyshell’s film credits include “Little Women,” “Downsizing,” and “Garden State.”
Richard Jenkins is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand character actors and has made more than eighty films. His performance in Guillermo del Toro’s “The Shape of Water” earned Jenkins Oscar, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Critics’ Choice Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor; he was previously nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for “The Visitor.” Upcoming roles include Stephen Karam’s “The Humans,” Guillermo del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley,” and the Netflix limited series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”
Stephen Karam is the Tony Award-winning author of the plays “The Humans,” “Sons of the Prophet,” and “Speech & Debate.” A two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, he has also received two Drama Critics’ Circle Awards for Best Play, an Obie, and the inaugural Horton Foote and Sam Norkin Drama Desk Awards. Karam’s screenplay adaptation of Chekhov’s “The Seagull” (starring Annette Bening, Saoirse Ronan, and Elisabeth Moss) was released by Sony Pictures Classics. He teaches in the New School’s M.F.A. program.
Michael Schulman is a staff writer at The New Yorker and has contributed to the magazine since 2006. He has written more than a hundred Talk of the Town pieces, and his interview subjects have included Linda Ronstadt, Anthony Hopkins, and Fran Lebowitz.
