Description
A story about ageing happy, healthy & free of disease.
The Longevity Film investigates the complex topic of ageing by documenting the longest lived, healthiest & happiest cultures from around the world.
Filmmaker Kale Brock (The Gut Movie, 2018) visits specific communities with significantly improved average life expectancies, remarkably low rates of disease and an extremely high quality of life well into the later years. Traveling to Okinawa (Japan), Loma Linda (California) and Ikaria (Greece) for a deep dive into longevity culture and what it really takes to get well and stay well, Brock delivers this transformational documentary with light hearted wit and a warm sense of relatability.
Featured expert commentary by Dr. Mark Hyman, Nick Buettner, Dr. Ross Walker, Dr. Craig Wilcox, Paul Chek, Daniel Vitalis, Dr. Damian Kristof & more.
"The longevity cultures live, on average, 8-10 years longer than us, and these are good quality years, often spent surrounded by friends and family with a big smile on their face. We don't have that in the West. We waste away, dying earlier and unhappier than we need to. The truth is, we're not living in a way that's conducive to longevity. Whilst making this film even I realised that I needed to totally rethink my lifestyle if I wanted to stay well - that's a huge challenge to overcome. "

Why is this more expensive than a normal cinema ticket?
As an independent film, this project is entirely self funded by us at Brock Creative Media. With an international filming schedule and expensive tour costs (cinema hire, travel) the only way we can cover our costs, plus ensure we can continue to make films like this, is to charge a slightly higher price than normal.
