Keynote by XperielJohn Cutter leads product at Xperiel. Xperiel is creating a digital layer for existing virtual and physical infrastructure called the Real World Web. They provide the tools needed to connect technologies like AR,VR, and IoT to offer experiential content. Prior to Xperiel, he was at Google, led IBM Watson’s AR/VR Labs, and graduated from the University of San Diego.
Paul Dawalibi is The Esports Profit. He is also currently the CEO of Conquest and CEO of Obsidian Ventures. In his role at Conquest, he's building the world's first marketing and creative agency focused exclusively on the esports/gaming opportunity. It is the cornerstone of a broad thesis on the rise of esports, which is his current investment focus at Obsidian Ventures. The result willbe the creation, incubation and financing of dozens of esports businesses over the next 5 years. As an investor, operator andentrepreneur, Paul has invested across the technology spectrum over the last decade, founded and built companies, and always been ahead of the trends. He is an accomplished speaker, writer and is never afraid to speak his mind. Paul has recently launched thebusinessofesports.com, a blog and podcast focused on helping people to understand the massive esports opportunity. Paul is an MIT MBA, avid gamer, race car driver, and lover of all things tech/startup.

Stephen Ellis was a professional gamer in League of Legends, achieving 3rd at World Championships with many other accolades over 4 years of competing establishing a deep network throughout the esports and gaming industry. Afterwards, Stephen dipped into the start up world before joining Facebook in Partnerships, then Product-building out their live streaming and esports initiatives. Working with the likes of Supercell, Riot Games, Activision, et al.
David Fawcett is the founder of Epic and has 21 years of experience in Canadian capital markets, including 17 years managing money & several funds of differing strategies amassing an impressive track-record. Prior to founding Epic, Mr. Fawcett had worked for both Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and the Brendan Woodsinstitutional survey as a nationally-ranked analyst. David is also registered as an Advising Representative and Dealing Representative with the OSC.
Brandon Byrne is the CEO for the startup Opera Event, a platform for social media influencers. Opera Event is a technological solution for influencer to monetize and engage their audiences directly. Before Opera Event, Brandon was the CFO for Team Liquid and an executive at Curse, a PC technology and media company that was bought by Twitch.tv. An avid gamer, Brandon still plays World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Civilization, Xcom, Ark and Diablo III. He also serves as an advisor on the UC Santa Cruz board for games and playable media. Brandon has a bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University in Business Management.
Metta Sport is an esports-focused international media, marketing & distribution agency. Metta Sport connects key elements of the sports, media & entertainment ecosystem providing growth strategy for leagues, federations, conferences, teams and rights owners. Metta Sport also conducts media rights negotiations with TV, OTT, digital and mobile platforms worldwide. Other services include consulting services for brands regarding esports marketing & sponsorship, capital raising, M&A counsel and private equity due diligence. Metta Sport has sucessfully negotiated over $50mm in media rights fees on behalf of partners. Ceo Wimmer brings a wealth of insight and experience to the CayRay Group. Most recently Ceo was the SVP of GlobalMarketing Partnerships for the UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship including Inbev(Bud Light), Monster Energy, Harley Davidson, Doritos, Reebok, Toyo Tires, Fram Filters, EA Sports, Microsoft and more. Prior to the UFC, Ceo was VP of Learfield Sports helping to build out and run their national sales for their 100+ college sports properties. He also worked at Team Services as their VP and was the VP and GSM for the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) in the Washington D.C./Baltimore. Before MASN, Ceo helped to lead in the creation and management of the Fox Cable Sports Networks as VP of Network Sales. He also was instrumental in the development of the unwired MLB, NBA, and NHL networks for Fox Sports Net and development of the Foxsports.com website.
Lindsay McCormick is a broadcaster, journalist, and entrepreneur originally from Houston, Texas. She has hosted live events for The Super Bowl, broadcasted for Mayweather/Pacquiao and ESPN’s The Basketball Tournament and written for the pages of Newsweek,Esquire, and ESPN The Magazine. Her entrepreneurial efforts have centered around augmented reality, including a partnership with ePlay Digital Inc., and the launch of Big Shot Basketball, an AR game that allows users to build their fantasy team while taking selfies with their favorite NBA players. She currently is a judge/investor on Entrepreneur's "Elevator Pitch" show. Lindsay can also be seen on the big screen opposite Shemar Moore playing a talk show host in the romantic comedy, “The Bounce Back.”
Josh Lawler is an equity partner at Zuber Lawler & Del Duca LLP. Josh's practice focuses on finance, mergers & acquisitions, securities law and technology transactions. Josh has a particular focus on distributed ledger technology including blockchain protocol. Joseph Schenck focuses his practice on representing technology
companies in commercial transactions involving intellectual property.
Joseph has extensive experience with intellectual property transactions
including acquisitions, outsourcings, mergers and secured financings in
the areas of software, SaaS, mobile platform products and other
information technology assets. Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Joseph was an associate in the
intellectual property and litigation practice groups of a leading
international law firm. He also was a programmer analyst for the United

Mark Thomas is a serial entrepreneur with experience founding tech startups and other businesses. Most recently, he was the Co-Founder & CEO of Reesio, a VC-backed startup within real estate technology that was acquired byRealtor.com in 2015. Mark does everything for ZenSports except coding, including Product Management, User Experience Design, Marketing, PR, Sales, Recruiting, HR, Finance, and Accounting.
Trevor Doerksen has been at the intersection of media and technology since he first started making snowboarding films and then as executive producer of a national science television series. His graduate research into content repurposing has lead to multi-million dollar research projects, a chapter in a widely published textbook, and the founding of Mobovivo, then ePlay Digital (EPY:CSE). ePlay is the creator of the Big Shot Augmented Reality Sports, Esports and Entertainment games. A serial entrepreneur,Trevor has been awarded entrepreneur of the year, named one of the 50 Most Influential People, and has been featured in the New York Times, Mobile World Congress, Hollywood Reporter, and the Wall Street Journal.
Richard Carleton was appointed CEO of the Canadian Securities Exchange in July 2011. During his tenure, Richard and the CSE team led a re-capitalization of the exchange in 2012-2013 and established relationships with key influencers in the Canadian securities industry and beyond. Justin J. Giangrande is Executive Vice President of VaynerSports, and oversees marketing, public relations, and brand partnerships for their athletes. He also oversees the Los Angeles office and produces all VaynerSports branded events. Justin draws from over 12years of in-depth experience in handling athlete marketing and endorsement deals. Prior to joining VaynerSports, Justin was co-founder and CEO of NCLUSIVE, a marketing and branding firm that focused on building strong brands for top athletes and celebrities, while also driving overall marketing and endorsement revenue.

Jason Sugarman With over 20 years’ experience, Jason Sugarman is a leader in the finance industry in the areas of asset-basedlending, private equity, and debt investments. Roderick Alemania is the CEO of ReadyUp. An accomplished entrepreneur, Roderick has been at the forefront of industry transforming technology throughout his career. As the internet was transitioning to commercial use, Roderick helped to grow Infoseek from startup to publicly traded company, which was then purchased by Disney. As gaming shifted to the mass market, he was a key contributor for driving IGN’s value from $26MM to a $650MM acquisition by News Corp.
