Panelists:
Andrew Lockhead, Co-founder and CEO, Stay22
Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Andrew was fortunate enough to learn the basics of managing a business very early. He started at the bottom of the ladder in the family business before climbing the ladder to become familiar with the management of finances, human resources, operations and much more. Once the family business was sold, he honed his knowledge in Business at the School of Management Sciences where he put his knowledge to the test as president of the Student Association representing more than 14,000 members, a student cafe, a career center and a multi-million dollar budget. Immediately after his studies, he decided to continue his entrepreneurial career and take his fate in his own hands with a friend at the university, where he founded in 2011, StudentSphere, the largest student ticketing in Canada. It was 5 years later, in search of a new challenge, that he embarked on a new adventure with Stay22, whose mission is to help participants find the best accommodation near their next festival, conference or any major event.

Topher Kingsley-Williams is the CEO and Co-founder of Porpoise. Topher got started in the technology industry in 2008 working for one of the largest open source software companies in the world, Red Hat, doing channel development. This opened his eyes to the software scene and how big companies were using corporate culture to attract, and engage the next generation of workers. Post Red Hat, Topher went on to work at a number of startups wearing multiple hats from channel development to sales. In 2014, while volunteering at a local community project, he met his two co-founders. Inspired by their collective community work, they launched Porpoise – An employee engagement platform for companies to enable their people to participate towards corporate culture and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Startup life is certainly one of the most exciting experiences in his life, but there have been some notable others including a 4 year Olympic campaign for the 2012 Olympics in Sailing, and the most rewarding experience, becoming a proud father to two “sleep destroying humans”.
