The Department for International Trade in association with AIM, BPI and the MPA present a webinar giving you an insight into Synchronisation in the Brazilian Music Industry. Recorded music revenues in Brazil increased by US$60.4 million in 2020, growth of 24.5%. With a 39.3% share of revenues, Brazil remained Latin America’s largest recorded music market, and was the 11th largest market globally. Brazil not only remained the largest market for recorded music revenues in Latin America, but was also the fastest growing of the region’s major markets. (IFPI Global Music Report 2021)
Synchronisation is fast becoming a great way of breaking into this exciting market and this webinar features a selection of speakers giving an overview and insightful knowledge of various sectors of the sync music industry there.

The speakers are going to discuss the role of the music supervisor in the Brazilian sync industry in the various segments of the creative industries (with a special focus on the advertising and TV & film segments) within the music industry. They are going to share some of their insights and success cases when doing projects for some of the biggest companies out there such as Netflix, Disney Channel, Grupo Globo and much more.
Mário Di Poi
Mário Di Poi is one of the co-founders of INPUT | artesonora, a Brazilian post-production company for audiovisual that works with music supervision and sound design. Mário worked in more than 200 audiovisual projects between interactive, feature, shorts, and documentaries, as well as TV Shows for clients such as Netflix, Disney Channel, NatGeo, Discovery, Arte [fr], TV Brasil, Rede Globo, TV Cultura, and others.
He is also the Programming Director for Brasil Music Summit, the first conference focused in promoting and exporting Brazilian Music. He's also a mentor of SXSW and the co-Founder and executive producer at MAFFIA.io, a storytelling atelier for audiovisual narratives in film, 360° and VR, and an active member at BME - Brasil Music Exchange; BRAVI - Brasil Independent Audiovisual and Uninfra: the three major Brazilian audiovisual and music industry associations.
Saulo von Seehausen
Starting as a musician from small uphill town Petrópolis, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Saulo began taking piano lessons at age 4, after having learned on his own how to play Brazil's National Anthem at his Grandma’s house.
His passion for music led him to tour over Brazil & abroad as a musician, a rich experience that motivated an interest for also developing knowledge of the executive part of the music business.
For 6 years, he was part of audio production studios Sonido Rio and Sonido Miami account management and synchronization teams, having worked on advertising projects with Coca-Cola, Nestlé, L'Oreal, Nivea, Nike, Google, Avon, Petrobras, among many others. Working at BMG as Synch & Licensing Manager since 2018, Saulo has successfully delivered music for projects with C&A, Samsung, Riot Games, Disney+, Grendene, Claro, Itaú, Apple, Spotify, Fiat, Deezer, Netflix and many more, representing the songs and interests of Brazilian and International songwriters and artists.
Patricia has been working as music supervisor and music licensing consultant for eighteen years, has worked for more than two hundred and fifty projects in Brazil and Latin America, the United States and England, among film, tv and advertising. Some of the titles include "Second Mother", winner of the 2015 Berlin Festival; the 2020 Emmy Award winner "Nobody’s Looking"; “Double Dad” one of the most watched films in no-English language on Netflix; and “Pelé”, British documentary recently released by Netflix.
Currently working as music supervisor on productions from networks such as HBO and Fox/Disney, as well as platforms such as Netflix, Amazon and Globoplay. Recently became Head of Music Supervision LATAM of the company Cuesongs, the British film and TV arm of the Songtradr group.
Bachelor of Letters from UERJ in 1998, a postgraduate degree in marketing, started working at Warner Chappell in 2000 as a Copyright Assistant. In 2007 she lived in London for 6 months to improve her knowledge of copyright and languages. In 2008, she returned to Warner Chappell and since then she has been developing several projects in the area of Licensing and new businesses at the publishing house.
She currently works as a Strategic, Commercial, Film and Synchronization Director, dealing directly with record labels, film producers, advertising agencies and brands, as well as working with the company's A&R team in attracting big names from authors such as Emicida, Diogo Nogueira and Jorge Benjor. Winner of the 2020 WME Best Music Entrepreneur Award.
