Description
Have you ever wondered what it takes to bring organizations together? What conversations need to happen, who needs to be involved, and why organizations might choose to unify? And, most importantly, when is the right time for those discussions?
Tracy Elop and Lori Payne have asked themselves all of these questions and have firsthand experience with the unification process as a CEO and Board Chair respectively.
Join us on October 8th at 6:00 pm, where they will share their insights at the Unification Knowledge Bite, reflecting on the unification of Carizon, Monica Place, and KW Counselling Services into what is now Camino Well Being + Mental Health.
They will discuss the journey they went through, offer practical advice, and are eager to answer any questions you may have. Be sure to bring your questions—this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from their experiences!

Tracy became the CEO of Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health on April 1, 2023 on the merger of three longstanding local agencies. Beginning in 2016, she served as the CEO of Carizon Family and Community Services, one of the legacy organizations involved in the unification. Tracy has been an active leader in Waterloo Region’s not-for-profit sector since 2003 in both operational and governance roles - as CFO/COO at KidsAbility Centre for Child Development and as a Board Director and Chair of Grand River Hospital.
She is a Chartered Professional Accountant by training and was awarded her FCPA in 2016 for her service to the profession and the community.
Lori (she/her) left corporate life several years ago to focus her time and skills in the community. With an accounting designation and specialties in organizational development, change management, and program management, she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of global-scale roles in strategy facilitation, business integration, leadership coaching/development, large-scale culture change, and Lean management. Alongside her work, Lori has been an active community volunteer serving on several Not-For-Profit Boards and Committees including Family and Children Services, YW KW, and as Board Chair of Waterloo Region Community Foundation and Carizon. She is currently past-Chair of the Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health Board. Lori and her family live in St. Clements.
