Description
Join New Energy Colorado’s Solar CitiSuns and COSSA as we celebrate the Summer Solstice with a kickoff event to a summer of trainings, virtual exhibits, and industry discussions to ensure Colorado’s clean energy industries are united during the COVID-19 crisis. Additional events in this series will continue in the following months.
Though we are disappointed our normal festivities will not be able to take place at the Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion, this event series will celebrate and strengthen our solar and energy storage industries workforce, from company owners and executives to the roof crew, warehouse, and administrators by offering virtual resources through trainings and the latest technology.
The solar and energy storage industries has much to be proud of this year:
Nearly 7,000 Coloradans work in the solar industry. Our state has an estimated 463 solar companies.
Solar represented the biggest source of new electricity capacity in the nation last year. Colorado has installed roughly 1 Gigawatt of solar, ranking us 12th in the nation.
More than 240,000 Colorado homes and businesses are powered by solar as Coloradans continue to make the choice to go solar and save money with this clean fuel-free source of energy.
Prices have fallen over 47% in the last 5 years.
However, our work is far from over so please come and support the growth of strong solar and energy storage markets.
Tickets to join the series are $25, $10 of which will be donated to the Food Bank of the Rockies to support their efforts during the COVID-19 Crisis. The rest of the funds will benefit New Energy Colorado and COSSA to further strengthen the work of solar and energy storage workers across the state. Stay tuned for our programming.
This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we need your support! If you’re registering as an employee of your company, please consider donating a special gift as well.
Together, we can build stronger solar markets and grow our industry.
Ticket and sponsorship donations may be tax-deductible. New Energy Colorado is a 501(c)(3) not for profit. Tax ID number: 84-1184065.
