Social Hour: Book Signing + Lunch with Susan Spungen
501 W Washington St Suite 3, Norristown, PA 19401, USA
Calling all cooks, caterers, restaurant owners, photographers, stylists, bloggers and everyone who's passionate about beautiful food — you're invited to an encore presentation of our most popular event to date.
On Thursday, Septmber 14th, master food stylist, cookbook author, New York Times contributor and founding editor of Martha Stewart Living, Susan Spungen — is coming back to Maximalist for dazzling demonstrations and lunch, celebrating her new book Veg Forward.
Tickets include a signed copy of Veg Forward, lunch, wine and inspiring demos by author and food stylist, Susan Spungen.
Our first event with Susan brought a bright, energetic crowd from Philadelphia and the Main Line with smiles for days.
Now she's back with a fresh, new book that "isn't just for vegetarians, but for people who love vegetables or want to love vegetables." In every recipe, Susan coaxes a maximum amount of flavor from a minimum number of ingredients, transforming them into something special and (of course!) making them look a like a million bucks on a plate.
If you don’t know Susan (yet!), you know her food. Her spread of holiday cookies in the New York Times was beyond epic, printed on a four-foot piece of newsprint that unfolded like a dream.
Then there’s her movie creds: Eat Pray Love, Labor Day and Julie & Julia. Here's Susan in the kitchen with Amy Adams, who played Julie Powell.
Now this Philly native is coming back to the Kitchen at Maximalist Studios.
So take a break from your day to sip rosé, have lunch, meet new friends and learn from Susan how you want to cook and eat right now — with vegetables stepping into the spotlight to play the starring role. You'll see (and taste!) for yourself a stunning array of dishes prepared by Susan herself, along with chef Alex Garfinkel of Balboa Catering and prop styled by Maximalist's chief creative, Eddie Ross, who started his career off with Susan in the test kitchens of Martha Stewart Living.
Tickets are $125 and include a beautiful lunch, wine, a signed copy of Veg Forward and styling demos by author and food stylist, Susan Spungen.
You’ll leave delighted and inspired to cook more creatively than ever before with tips, tricks and insider secrets from one of the industry’s best.
Tickets are limited, so now is the time to round up your crew and claim your spots at the most delicious event of the season.
See you on Thursday, September 14th, everyone!
