Welcome to the SFSS Holi Bash: The Festival of Colours!
The wait is over! It's time to celebrate the coming of spring, the joy of friendship, and equality for all. The Indian Festival of Colours happens every year, not only in India but throughout the world, and all are encouraged to participate!
Here are the event details:
Date: Sunday, March 5th
Location: North Parking Lot (SFU Burnaby), 8888 University Drive, Burnaby BC V5A 1S6
Take the opportunity to cover yourself and your friends in colourful powders and dance your heart out. Enjoy a live Indian band, DJ, delicious food, and an afternoon of vibrant? fun with a crowd of over 2250 people!
Colour: Every ticket purchased will receive a complimentary pack of biodegradable non-toxic Holi powder colour. More will be available for sale.
No bags of any kind are not permitted within the event area. This includes backpacks, purses, tote bags, and other similar items. However, you may bring a small hand purse, no larger than 8 inches by 5 inches. Any hand purse larger than this will not be allowed.
Bring your SFU/Post-Secondary student ID if you purchased SFU/Post-Secondary tiers tickets
Additional packet(s) for purchase will be available at the venue.
No outside colour packages are allowed at the event.
Your ticket gives you entry to the event and entertainment. Food and colour packages will be available for purchase (cash and cards accepted).
Paid parking is available on campus.
This is a family-friendly event. Pets are not allowed.
Be sure to wear clothes that can get stained (preferably white or a lighter colour which will show off the vibrancy of the colour powder!).
All sales are final, no refunds!
Stained clothing, damaged electronics, and powder are things beyond our control. We often take pictures and videos at our events. You grant SFSS permission to record pictures and video footage of your likeness relating to your participation in the event, and you waive all rights to any future compensation to which you may otherwise be entitled as a result of the use of your image and/or likeness.
By purchasing a ticket to the SFSS Holi Bash - The Festival of Colours, you acknowledge and agree that the SFSS is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to you or your property that may occur before, during, or after the event. This includes, but is not limited to, any injury, loss, or damage that may be caused by the use of biodegradable non-toxic Holi powder colour or any other materials used during the event.
You also acknowledge and agree that the SFSS and the collaborators are not responsible for any lost or stolen items, including tickets, cash, or personal belongings. You are responsible for safeguarding your ticket and personal belongings at all times.
Finally, you acknowledge and agree that the SFSS and the collaborators reserve the right to remove any individual from the event for any reason, including but not limited to, inappropriate behaviour or failure to comply with event rules and regulations.
By purchasing a ticket to the SFSS Holi Bash - The Festival of Colours, you agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the SFSS, as well as their affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, and employees, from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liabilities of any kind arising from or related to your attendance at the event, including but not limited to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur.
