Historically, the SF ISACA Chapter held annual Volunteer Kick-Off Meetings focused on our Fall Conference. This year, we are expanding the meeting to include ALL volunteer opportunities at the SF Chapter. There are many ways to help, some requiring ongoing (but manageable) involvement, and others that only require a single hour or so, and most can be accommodated remotely via conference calls. In the meeting, we will introduce ourselves and get to know each other, then review the various volunteering opportunities that the SF ISACA Chapter has (both for the Fall Conference and Chapter service areas) and answer any/all questions.
Why volunteer?
To 'give back' to your profession and help others following in your footsteps.
Get time with other professionals and learn about the latest trends / strategies / success factors in our industry.
Meet others (network), beyond just a “hello” at one of our events. Working together on a project is the best way to establish relationships, making new friends, and successfully growing your career.
Develop skills that will help on your resume. ISACA involvement can help set you apart from other candidates, not only by being connected to ISACA, but also by listing tangible work-related tasks (e.g., you can help project manage a Chapter initiative, demonstrating that you have those skills, also with others that can vouch for you (references)).
We strive to make Chapter involvement fun!
