Rue Morgue's CineMacabre Movie Nights promise the best of classic and contemporary horror at The Royal Cinema - once a month, every month.

In tandem with the Jan/Feb issue of Rue Morgue featuring TABOO HORROR IN THE POST-WEINSTEIN ERA, CineMacabre is pleased to present a special screening of Natalia Leite and Leah McKendrick's M.F.A. The film follows Noelle, an introverted grad student in California, who is assaulted by her crush at a party. When the school fails to take action after Noelle reports the crime, she finds herself taking campus justice into her own hands.
M.F.A. represents a significant entry into the rape-revenge subgenre, presenting the subject through a contemporary setting and a female gaze. With powerful performances by women in front of the camera as well as behind it (special guests TBA!), M.F.A. tackles the sensitive subject matter with a sense of gravity and complexity that is as timely as it is overdue. Not to be missed! *Stay tuned for updates with special guests!*
