Roy O'Brien Ford, Inc. presents Rockin' the Shores Beer & Music Festival with headliner Vertical Horizon, Saturday, Sept 17 from 1pm – 11pm. The festival takes place in the streets on Mack Avenue, across from Roy O’Brien Ford in Downtown St. Clair Shores.
The festival grounds have expanded the footprint on Greater Mack to extend from 9 Mile to Cavalier Drive with a second stage in front of Firehouse Pub and Grill.
Come hungry! Enjoy food from an array of food trucks including BBQ Daddy, Little Brothers Burgers, Smokin’ Bowls, Detroit Jerky and Cinnabon.
Come thirsty! There will be a full bar featuring craft beer, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Makers Mark.
Come play! The Faygo Fun Zone will have cornhole, Jenga and Connect 4!
Come for the music! Hailing from Detroit, frontman Vin Dombroski from the national touring alternative rock band SPONGE and local favorite outlaw country The Orbitsuns, is dedicated to highlighting the local music scene in Detroit. He has rounded up local bands to showcase their talent.

About the bands:
In the late 1990s VERTICAL HORIZON released their breakout album, Everything You Want, which went on to sell more than two million copies. Having carved out a page in the annals of music history the band garnered further radio attention with “You’re a God” (#4 on Billboard’s Adult Chart) and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning).”
SPONGE just celebrated their 25th Anniversary of their breakthrough album "Rotting Piñata" which spawned hits "Plowed" and "16 Candles/Molly." Sponge was a fixture on MTV in the 90's and recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show.
The festival opens at 1 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. All ages until 9 pm / 21 + after 9 pm $5 cover at 5pm. Free parking is available in the surrounding lots.
