Course Description
Individuals in this instructor-level course have the opportunity to refresh skills that enhance their ability to create innovative programs, solve problems in ropes course environments, prepare for emergency situations, and manage a ropes course. Specifically, instructor candidates will develop advanced leadership and facilitation skills, practice advanced knots, belaying, and descending techniques, develop problem solving skills, carry out management systems, and learn and practice the Ropes Course Rescue Protocol System. Course content will be covered through a combination of classroom presentations, hands-on practice, and rescue simulations.
Candidates will also receive a current Level 1 / ARCI course outline and a digital copy of the most recent Adventureworks training manual as study aids prior to course start date.
Refresh and Recert courses are considered an advanced level course. Participants are required to complete an application form and portfolio prior to registration being finalized. To register...

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, instructor candidates will:
Refresh some Level 1 skills in preparation for Level 1 certification testing.
Participate in written and practical skills testing for re-certification at Level 1.
Course Prerequisites
18 years of age
Previous certification at Level 1 Challenge Course Practitioner from Adventureworks Assoc. Inc.
Willingness and ability to perform all tasks related to ropes course operation including spotting, belaying, climbing on belay, climbing on self belay to perform set-up / take-down, and performing in-air rescue tasks
50 documented hours of challenge course program delivery experience as a Level 1 Challenge Course Practitioner during the last yearOR
16 documented hours of additional challenge course training
